Got to say that I didn’t realise Spencer was that good. But Mikey pushed it too far at that weight. Lost a lot of his speed and power. Against a less talented welterweight he could win a belt at that level but will hopefully focus on Lomachenko now.

Spence is a truly special talent, he's fast, skillful, has exceptional ring IQ and he seems like a genuinely good guy.

However, his last few opponents have arguably been cherry picks. Garcia is not a welterweight, his previous defense was against Ocampo (possibly a mandatory? ) and was expected to beat him easily and his next fight is likely going to be the 900 year old Yoda (Pacquiao) . There is a lot of talk about him fighting Thurman too but Thurman is likely going to go inactive for a year again with injuries.

Garcia will struggle to get back down to 135. Doubt Loma will go to 140, so that fight will be more difficult to make now. Garcia is just too small at 147.

Spence didn’t show any interest at all in talking about Crawford in the post fight presser, but that is th fight everyone wants to see at 147. Not sure Spence can see out his career at 147 either. He is big for the weight. So maybe he would like to fight Crawford at 154 in a couple of years. That would be the smart thing from his perspective.

Garcia looked flabby at the weight and so obviously not his fighting weight. I think he’ll drop back down again and Loma could be an option. Good shout on Spence vs Crawford, that would be a quality fight. At least the big boys seem willing to face each other recently. Hopefully same applies to the heavyweight.
