Thought this might be of interest to some of you.

A History of the Lineal Heavyweight Championship (1885 – 2018):

1.) 05 Jan 2019 20:51:11
Great read Rian.

2.) 05 Jan 2019 23:56:27
It's an interesting read. Also worth noting that by the looks of it, Lennox Lewis was the only man to retire while still holding the lineal title. It then took 5 years for a new lineal holder to be announced.

Some good news. Adonis Stevenson has come out of his coma and is speaking.

1.) 18 Dec 2018 12:49:35
Great news Rian.

2.) 18 Dec 2018 19:16:36
Brilliant news. Hope he's alright and not suffered any problems from being in a coma.

3.) 18 Dec 2018 19:38:22
I've read that he has some paralysis down one side but it's unconfirmed.

4.) 21 Dec 2018 14:33:46
Now I'ver read that he's still in the coma so I don't know what to believe.

No doubt Taylor won the first six rounds but the stoppage was terrible. Sorry to disappoint you all, but absolutely no way Taylor wins this tourney based on what I saw tonight.

1.) 04 Nov 2018 10:04:37
You must have been watching a different fight from me Rian, Josh is going to dominate this division for years to come. i agree the ref jumped in a bit quick, but the stoppage was going to come seconds later anyway, Josh is an explosive body puncher, he's like a lower weight Marvin Hagler.

2.) 04 Nov 2018 19:43:17
Martin was really poor, but he wouldn’t have been stopped in the 7th had the ref not jumped in and waived it off after an illegal punch that should have earned Taylor at least a warning and maybe even a point deduction. Taylor has an excellent skill set, but he has to get past Baranchyk and Prograis to be considered the best in the division, and that is asking a lot.

3.) 05 Nov 2018 14:17:46
Martin's knee or glove never touched the canvas Rian, that's how they were legal punches, is there any other rule you want to know mate? lol.

4.) 05 Nov 2018 15:07:35
I’m talking specifically about the left hook to the back of Martin’s head before he threw two more (legit) left hooks to the body as Martin staggered. You thought I was talking about them. I wasn’t.

I don’t think Taylor is a dirty fighter or did it on purpose but It’s still an illegal punch. A few seconds earlier Martin landed a shot that was a bit low and Laughlin warned him which was completely fair.

I think Laughlin is a bit quicker to stop a fight now after all the criticism he took for the Blackwell stoppage. Martin isn’t in Taylor’s class, but let’s say Taylor took a similar shot in the semi or final. I’d like to see him given the chance to see out the round, especially if it’s late in the round.

5.) 05 Nov 2018 22:13:09
There was nothing in it Rian, all sorts of illegal blows go on during fights, you don't get payed overtime in boxing.

6.) 05 Nov 2018 23:24:17
Next time read my post properly or else send me a copy of that weird rule book that no one apart from you has ever seen.

7.) 06 Nov 2018 16:18:45
What are you talking about Rian? I'm talking about the dirty tricks that go on mostly on the blind side of the referees, you should have went to the same Glasgow boxing clubs as me mate, they were a great education for the dark arts of boxing, watch the fight again and watch Martin's head anytime Josh got in close, then tell me if Josh was being over dirty, Martin was also warned for a low blow.

8.) 06 Nov 2018 23:06:20
It's ok James. I wouldn't be objective about him if he was from Dublin.

But I wish Josh and you the very best pal.

9.) 07 Nov 2018 10:27:57
What are you on about Rian?

03 Nov 2018 21:15:54
Very good odds on Donaire. I was at the Frampton fight. He won't outbox Burnett but he hurt Frampton a couple of times. Still dangerous at 35.

1.) 03 Nov 2018 21:38:32
Not quite sure what happened there. I don’t think it was a body shot. Maybe a pelvic or hip injury.

2.) 03 Nov 2018 23:05:59
Absolutely gutted for Ryan, thought he was boxing well.

3.) 04 Nov 2018 14:48:50
Slipped disc mid fight. Ouch!

BJS has failed to get a licence from the Massachusetts board. Looks like he might be stripped by the WBO. Was really looking forward to the Andrade fight. He won't get much sympathy after all the recent controversy but it's a shame, he's a terrific boxer.

1.) 10 Oct 2018 11:42:41
I done a quick check about the substance oxilofrine that was found in Billy joes system no wonder he didn’t get his licence. Oxilofrine is the same drug that runner Tyson Gay got a year’s suspension for using in 2013.
Oxilofrine is thought to increase adrenaline production, boosting endurance, focus, alertness and heart rate and increasing oxygenation of the blood plus it’s not supplied on prescription.

I know it’s a bit of a grey area this oxilofrine as the UK doping is different from the US, but if I read all the above about a drug I was about to take red lights would be flashing in my head. Billy and his team should know better.

2.) 11 Oct 2018 18:49:57
It's being reported by sky sports that he's vacated the wbo middleweight title.

Where does Saunders go next? Could he step up a weight? Fight for one of the vacant middle weight titles? Maybe he'll finally fight golovkin, for a vacant title.?

I think when he's in the mood he's a real handful in the ring, meaning he'd give pretty much anyone he fights a lot of trouble. Plus his trolling outside the ring is eniugh to get into anyone's head lol.

I hope you're right, I'm a big fan too. I'd love to see him stop wilder but I see him winning on points.

He's already had 12 rounds to put wilder on the canvas. Had a nice little nap on it himself though.

What restaurant do you think he’d take them out to?

Most likely Vegas. Fury is doing lots of media work in the US to build his profile and sell the fight there. The trilogy fight will probably in England.
