Didn't hearn recently say its whoever's asks for the least money gets it?

In my opinion Callum will be too much for Canelo. Too strong, too powerful and he's not an ageing champion.

I think Canelo might be too quick and too skilled for Callum Smith. Still not entirely convinced Smith is as good as they say, had a few underwhelming performances over the years and I think an elite fighter like Canelo might undo him, despite the obvious disparity in size.

I actually think BJS, if committed and in shape, might have a better chance of out-boxing Canelo but no one will get a decision over him. Canelo will need to be stopped to lose a fight as the judges are paid for well in advance.

Will be cheering on anyone that faces him though. "Team Canelo" represents everything that is wrong with boxing.

Are you talking about the same Callum Smith who was gifted a decision against John Ryder? He’s hanging in there at 168 for the Canelo fight and then after he gets beaten he will say it’s too hard to make 168 I have to move up to 175.

Canelo will beat him by a wide points margin or a late stoppage. If it was at 175 I’d give him a better chance. But he’ll be well beaten by Canelo.

He was awful against Ryder. Easy work for Canelo.

I wouldn't judge smith on his performance vs Ryder, I would judge him at his best which was against Groves imo. Smith with his reach advantage would cause canelo problems for afew rounds but I agree with Rian mid to late stoppage for canelo.

I think Smith has nothing left to give at 168.

Canelo won't fight Smith like he did Kovalev or Fielding. If he does he's too high on himself and will get stopped very quickly. Canelo's chin isn't suspect or anything (it's actually very good), but his recent fights haven't been against anyone with thudding power like Smith. Canelo has been able to walk people down, throwing the odd body shot and left hook and winning rounds, simply because he's Canelo.

I think he'll fight Smith like he did Golovkin the first time, but I think it will be a mistake and Smith will get the better of him. Smith raises his fight game for his opponent, much like Tyson Fury does.
Smith MD with a horrible scorecoard in favour of Canelo.

You're right Roro, BJS has a much better chance against Canelo, but I don't think Canelo wins against Smith unless it's dodgy scorecards.

I don't think anyone beats Canelo at 168. he's arguably the most improved fighter on the planet, seems to get better with every performance. he's a fabulous body puncher especially with the left hook and Smith despite being massive for the weight, does seem to be most comfortable fighting on the inside, so Canelo will have a lot of success to the body imo. Smith (as Rian pointed out) could be struggling at the weight, he was particularly gaunt looking weighing in against Ryder. I think he's hanging around 168 waiting on a big name and if there was bigger names at 175 he would have already moved up. At 175 a fight with canelo is a different story and he could beat canelo, maybe that's why Canelo is taking him now at 168 less risky.

Billy joe gives anyone problems with his boxing pedigree, especially if it's the Saunders that turned up against Lemieux he was fabulous that night, although I don't think he's been the same fighter since he's moved up to super middleweight. I think because of his skills he would win afew rounds and make it a competitive contest although imo canelo would be to strong and hurt Billy joe.

Will be interesting to see how this goes. When Billy is on form he's almost unfightable. But he has shown he can be hurt, as he's been stanky legged in his last fight and I think his fight before (may need fact checking) also.

But, like Fury he's fights to the level of his opponent, so hopefully Billy turns up and it's not just a cash out. This could be part of a mega-money trilogy if Billy wins the first fight.

I'm hoping for a points win for Saunders, but I think Canelo will catch him with a left hook at some point. Whether it's a body or headshot I don't know.
