What do people think of Daniel Dubois?

Personally I'm not onboard the hype train just yet. I think he's got a bright future and will at some point fight for world titles, however I think at the moment people are hugely over rating him.

I agree, he looks slow to me. Powerful puncher and a good jab but I think people are hyping him too much too early. He was brilliant against Gorman but equally Gorman didn’t fight as well as he can and is hardly world class opposition. He’s still very young and could go on to huge things in a few years but the people that say he could fight for a world title next year are deluded.

I think we r forgetting that the lad is 22 years old, no rush with him. He reminds me of a heavyweight GGG, the way he stalks his opponents using that jab manoeuvring them into the corner, reminds me of triple G. Talk of him fighting Joe Joyce next, I fancy him to beat joyce then if I was Frank Warren I’d just have him knock around the European level for a while. He has his flaws and is untested but in 2 or 3 years he could be there to pick off the ageing champions. Also he comes from a good pedigree, his sister is gold medal bound in next Olympics and his younger brother is good boxer. All stems from his Dad who has been training them with early childhood. I think the future is bright for DDD.

There's no doubt that he will probably go onto do big things in Boxing. But people are calling for him to have fringe world level fights when he's just not ready.

So far he's fought domestic level fighters at best, with the exception of Gorman who could probably push for European level. He needs to take more fights like the Gorman fight, before stepping up and facing someone like Whyte. He's allegedly in talks to fight Joyce, which I think would be a good fight for him, as Joyce punches in slow motion and is very hittable.
