BBBofC have said they will not sanction it. They might get a licence from somewhere else but it's leaving it very late.
Imo if this goes ahead its a disgrace. Another dark mark on boxing. What's going on with the B sample? No excuses and it's like hearn and the rest just want to sweep it under the carpet. Farce if this goes ahead. Putting money ahead of the health of the fighter's and the integrity of the sport.

Apparently the drug his used at the end of a cycle of peds.There is no excuse on earth he can come up with, as a professional athlete,for having it in his system.
I loved is Dad,and it's a shame instead of enhancing the Benn name,he's tainted it.

From what I read clomifene is used to alter testosterone levels in male and female athletes and is also used as a masking agent. According to WADA clomifene has also appeared as an undeclared ingredient in black market products sold on the Internet for performance enhancing use.
I'm certainly no doctor but from what I hear this stuff can't even be taken by accident. U either know your taking it or you don't.
Maybe worse of all for me is the fact that the results of the failed test came back on September 23rd. Both camps were informed along with the BBBofC. They done nothing.
On Tuesday they were informed by the media that the story of the failed test was leaked to them and would be published the next day. Only then did the BBBofC act and say on Wednesday (same day story broke) that they would not sanction the bout. Now I know the BBBofC were in a difficult position because Benn had passed all UKAD tests, which is the testing the BBBofC use and is governed by. It could be said that if the BBBofC were not informed by the media that the story was breaking then they would have done nothing and allowed a fighter to enter a fight in which they have sanctioned effectively with loaded gloves.
The right decision was made calling this fight off. It would have caused incredible damage to the sport and god forbid Eubank Jr got injured and this news broke that Benn was on the gear and everyone knew but still allowed it, I think that would have killed the sport all together for many people (me included).

Personally I think the sport is Dead now. Nobody knows what the truth to any of these tests are. Maybe the Boxing Board need to be more open aboutthe results of all the tests going forward. If its not Drugs its the way Boxers go about trying to get fights that aren't going to happen. I would think most fans are bored of it by now.

I wouldn't say it's dead. There is still a very high level of interest in the top level fights. However it is in desperate need of some cleaning up as it is a genuine mess right now.

The hypocrisy of the people around this event.You have it all over social media,Hearn and Bellew saying ban cheats for life in past interviews,but because its their fighter or friend,the narrative changes and its oh Ukad have him testing negative and the Board doesn't recognise Vada so the fight should go ahead.Why sign upto Vada if you want to ignore the findings?
Benn refused Vada testing in January and as a result was stripped of a WBC ranking.
I used to box as an amateur and love the sport,but now everybody knows a lot of the stars of the game are users and the promoters are covering it up.

Yeah this one is bad. Maybe because it was such a big stage in a fight that had grabbed the publics attention. At least at the end of the day the right decision was made and the fight was called off and there is that much stink around this that it will not be forgotten very easily, maybe just maybe this is the straw that broke the camels back and we get a better more organised structure within British boxing anyway.
