Seen a lot of people ridiculing Callum Smith for calling out canelo, saying he hasn’t fought anyone of merit. Isn’t that the point? He wants the big fights! These are the same people who ridicule boxers for ducking fights, in my opinion it would be a brilliant fight, I think smith would really trouble Canelo with his size and technique!

Don't see any problem with Smith wanting to fight the best, if he said he didn't want to fight Canelo then he would get stick too. Be a great fight imo.

Canelo named Smith after the Jacobs fight, so Smith was just saying he would take that fight.
A fight I think he can win.
Smith is a beast at that weight.

Smith will beat canelo IMO as long as it’s not in Vegas so the judges rob him.

I think it Would be great fight and I would be cheering on Smith bigtime but tbh I don’t think there’s a middleweight or super middleweight who could beat Canelo. If Smith waited a year or two till he moved up to light heavyweight he would have a better chance imo, but fair play to him anyway wanting to test himself against the best.

Smith beats Canelo, he's far too big for him. People will say "he beat up Rocky Fielding who's much bigger than Canelo" but Smith dispatched Fielding in 1 round.
Would not surprise me if Callum Smith finished his career undefeated imo.

Cant blame rocky for taking that fight, the chance to fight the pound for pound number one in the world, arguably one of the best fighters of his generation, fighting in Madison square garden and picking up £2 million. It was a mismatch and it would have been a miracle for him to win but this opportunity might not have come around again so fair play to him!
