Disappointed that this lomachenko vs like Campbell fight is ppv. I know he's a great fighter but the causal fans will not have heard of him and some will see his record of 12 fights and just laugh. When I was young ppv was a privilege now it seems its every other week.

It's Lomachenko, whoever he fights it's going to be PPV. He's at that Canelo and Joshua level in terms of his popularity. Boxing will be this way until it eventually implodes on its self.

I done that once championship rounds mate and I couldn't enjoy the boxing because of fear it was going to knock off plus it started jumping and then my nerves were a wreck.

I don't begrudge any fighter making a few quid and of course I would want to be boxing on ppv if I was a fighter but from a fans perspective I'd sick of paying my tv subscription and ppv every week. That's why eddie hearn has been so successful in building up matchroom, he can offer the fighters what they really want which used to be big fights but is now ppv.

The only time I stream a fight, is if it's not being shown on uk tv, such as sky, bt or box nation.

This is how I watch international fights. However, if I could subscribe to legit network I would. Especially when you consider that a lot of fighters tend to exit the ring with a little bit of themselves missing.

Personally I think the fight will do low numbers, causal fans will not pay for this, they won't know lomachenko. Imo the best option would be put lomachenko on just normal sky sports first let the british public see him and then second fight go ppv. Just my thoughts but in reality hearn prob only signed lomachenko by saying the words pay pre view.

Everyone knows who Lomachenko is Roro, even my mother knows who he is.
He's the pound for pound number 1 in the world (arguably), and he's fought in Britain before, at the Olympics in 2012 and the WBSS amatuer series also in London in 2011.

It won't do AJ numbers, that's a certainty, but it will still sell well.

Funny u saying that hsf mate cause reason I posted that was my dad who I would class as casual boxing fan asks me who's these two fighting on sat any good? I told him about lomachenko and his record and he said they looking £20 for this is there a world title involved? So that's the causal fan mate, most of them if my dad haven't a clue who he is.

What exactly is a casual fan? Imo it's a person who doesn't know nothing about boxing except the names Mayweather and joshua. They pay for the massive big fights but not the routine defences. They certainly don't pay round the year for boxing, if they watch it at all they will steam it. To sell this fight to the causal fan u will have to explain how good lomachenko is because most casual fans will not understand what they r watching, they want war that's all.

I don't agree with your description of a casual fan. To me a casual fan, is someone who doesn't know much about the ins and outs of the sport, such as the politics, but still enjoys watching the fights.
The people that you are describing, imo are people who are only watching it because someone around them has an interest in Boxing, or because they've jumped on the hype train of whoever is in the media.

This is how you sell the Lomachenko fight to the casuals.

"His combined amatuer and pro record 418-2-0, that is all. "

Most people I talk to including some of my mates who do watch boxing some of them even used to box themselves and they wouldn't be too sure who lomachenko is? They might know the name but they will not have seen him fight b4 and they certainly won't pay £20 to watch him fight this weekend. We will have to agree to disagree mate and see what the numbers are after.
