Bellew has been stripped of his WBC cruiserweight world title, as he's now "a major attraction in the heavyweight division"

He has been made an "Emeritus Champion" which means if he decides to drop back down in weight, he will immediately be given a world title shot.

The title will be contested between Mairis Briedis and Marco Huck.

Personally, I think that's a little bit crap if you ask me.

I think this was also given to Tyson Fury wasn't it?

I can understand if there is a health issue at stake, but there has been no confirmation of Bellew staying at Heavyweight anyway. This just kind of pushes him into staying there.

Considering how he kept saying he was the proudest WBC champion ever, I'd imagine Bellew is fuming at this.
