This is all about money for Khan, he will make more money by being sparked by Canello and still get a big pay day for getting sparked by Brook. Khan is no doubt an excellent boxer but we all know his chin is made of glass, boxing at middleweight is a joke. I would bet my mortgage on most of the top 10 british middleweights would bang Khan onto the canvas. It's clever by him, a massive payday and excuse when he gets put asleep

It's at 155lb's for some reason which suggests Khan is pushing for it too for me.
I think it's easier for khan's ego to get beaten(sparked) by canelo in 6 and get tons of cash than get decent money and beaten by a british rival(who may ko him)
This just smells of a money matchup. (will this also be khan's 4th career ko when he loses? I don't think there's any real coming back from 4 ko losses,so hope he gets a good pension fund.

personally I think he's running scared of a packed welterweight division and canelo is probably keeping himself ticking over for GGG I think they're trying to delay that another year so the ''hype'' builds

I didn't know Khan had messed up his finances 25. I thought he had some sweet long term sponsorship deals to keep him tied over. It's amazing how many boxers(atheletes in general) do this crap time and again.

{Ed001's Note - they invest their money badly. Khan is currently trying to set up an extremely posh gym in Dubai, which is not cheap. It will take a few years before the investment will break even, let alone make money, so that will drain his finances. I am sure there are a number of other similar projects he is involved with. This is why so many footballers end up broke. They make millions but are not satisfied to just save those millions and live off the interest. Instead they invest to make more money and most of the time they end up losing money, at best they end up making less money than they would if they had just left the money in a high interest savings account usually. Greed is the issue, they are never satisfied and always want more.}

Well I'm not a fan of Amir,but I hope it works out well for him. I saw Lee Hendrie talking to Clarke Carlisle on a documentary about how he lost everything investing in houses and taking on too many mortages expecting to still make a decent career in championship and league 1 level,but it never materialised.
The worst ones to hear about are when they give the money to the hangers on and develop the addictions.

Thinking about this Khan fight What makes Khan thinks he can win this fight. I agree Khan is more skilful but Lara and Mayweather are excellent boxers and both out boxed Canelo. Lara lost a split decision that many thought he should have won. Khan isn't going to knock Canelo out and even if he hit and runs like Lara did, he isn't going to get the decision. Canelo vs ggg is the next super fight and Khan is just an easy pay day on Mexican holiday weekend. I just hope Khan doesn't get hurt, because to me he's going in with a bigger fighter who on the night will weigh at least 2 weight class higher. Khan as stayed away from punchers since Garcia Flattened him, for 1 reason only, the big payday. He knows Canelo is going to win he doesn't even have a punchers chance as they say, because he doesn't hit harder than anyone Canelo has faced. Canelo hits harder than everyone Khan has faced. `I think Khan must have money troubles as the Ed says. He knows the Brook fight is still there for him even if Canelo destroys him. Most Americans and Mexicans think this is a bad mismatch I for one agree
